Self-sinking air-line,
 
A unique self-sinking tubing for
aeration systems, is manufactured to deliver air into a pond, lagoon
or lake bed from an electric aerator, windmill or other types of
aeration systems.
The rising air bubbles from an aeration system using Self-sinking
air-line, adds life-giving oxygen to the water and creates an
essential circulation pattern. The result is healthier fish, reduced
algae growth, fewer dissolved toxic gasses, less odor and elimination
of stagnation.
Self-sinking air-line is constructed of heavy,
negative-buoyancy, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material. Self-sinking
air-line descends to the bottom of the pond, lagoon or lake without
the use of extra weights.

Features and Benefits
-
When air is applied the underside of the
membrane expands upward. This opens the slits slightly providing for the
release of air from the diffuser into the water, forming fine bubbles as
the air escapes. When the air supply is
stopped, the flexible membrane deflates to the flat condition which causes
the slits to close, thereby stopping the backflow of any fluids into the
diffuser.
- The heavy-duty membrane, which will last 5-10
years, is specially formulated and molded and has 100 percent rebound
memory.
- Threaded lock ring tightens to hold the
membrane firmly in place.
- Center vanes support the center of the membrane
when airflow is absent.
- Environmentally resistant and durable base is
constructed of molded polypropylene.
- Dimensions of diffuser assembly: 10 inch diameter, 5
inches tall

Dissolved
Oxygen (DO) is probably the single most important environmental factor
in ponds and fish keeping. If Dissolved Oxygen concentrations are low fish
will not eat well, they will not grow well and they are susceptible to
disease. Furthermore, where concentration are very low, many or even all
of the fish may die from the lack of oxygen.

Advantages of Linear Pumps
Long Life: The moving parts
consistent of an actuating rod supported by two synthetic rubber
diaphragms which oscillate laterally. permitting long term continuous
operation with hours of service-free life.

the need for sliding parts, minimizing power consumption and offering high
efficiency.
Compact and Powerful: Oilless linear
pumps incorporate two electromagnets, one at the front and one at the
rear, which act on permanent magnets, providing perfectly balanced
oscillation and ensuring a compact and powerful pump.
No lubrication Necessary: Because
there are no sliding parts there is no need for lubrication. An added
advantage, the exhausted air is always clean and particle free.
Smooth Air Flow: The exhaust rate is
uniform and pulsation is minimal
Adequate
Dissolved Oxygen levels are also important for the health of
beneficial bacteria that we use in our Bio-Filter Systems to keep the pond
water healthy lowering ammonia and nitrogen levels.

How does a Rotary Vane Pump Work ?
Pumping action is produced by a series of sliding flat
vanes as they rotate in a cylindrical housing. As the diagram shows,
an eccentrically mounted rotor turns and the individual vanes slide in and
out of their slots by centrifugal and pressure-loading forces. This
creates a series of air compartments of unequal volume against the wall of
the housing. These compartments get larger during the suction part of the
cycle, creating vacuum at the intake port and smaller during the discharge
part of the cycle, creating pressure at the exhaust port.
The vacuum and pressure flows are free of pulsation
because the inlet and exhaust ports do not have valves, and the air is
moved continuously rather then intermittently
 .
