Compressor Wiring

Changing the factory voltage wiring from 220 volt to 110 volt

 

Step #1
Remove the cover plate by loosening the two hex head screws, no need to remove them.

Remove the cover

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

Step #3
The motor is shipped wired for 220 volt single phase.
To change to 110 volt single phase two wires need to be moved.

The white wire is on the right of the opening,
the brown wire is on the lower right of the opening.

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

Step #4
remove the white wire from the spade and reconnect to the lower main lug spade.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

Step #5
Remove the brown wire from it's present location (lower right) and install it on the lug where the white wire was installed from the factory. Now you have changed the wiring for the motor from 220 to 110 volt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

To change the motor from 110 volt to 220 volt reverse the process..
